Welcome!

Greetings from the Carolinas!

The south is famous for hospitality and traditions. With that in mind, I would like to graciously welcome you to my Blog. Please join me while I share my passions and reminisce about life in the south.

I have finally realized that one of the keys to an amazing life is to enjoy the journey as we are working towards our goals & our dreams. Becoming a "Gamma" has been such a blessing and helped me slow down and enjoy each precious minute of my day.

My first RV trip!

We decided to take the RV out for a spin to test out my camping skills. Ava was right under foot with each task asking "Gamma can I help?".  I was still trying to figure this whole thing out and slowly checking off each thing on my checklist. She is so sweet. She and I both learned so much! The campground had a pool, river with a fishing pier, and a playground for children and another for dogs.  Bonnie and Jimmy told us that we would find the campers very friendly and helpful and that we would feel very safe. They were right! It was a very nice place. Lots of shade. Friendly people. Lots of families spending quality time together. Nature is so beautiful and we got to enjoy lots of it.
On Sunday Emily and Ava spent the early part of the day at the pool. I took them lunch and I was busy taking care of things at the RV. After lunch Ava called and asked if I would take her to the playground. So we had a blast. Ava decided she wanted to push me on the swings. So we did and it was fun. If you notice in the middle picture I accidently bumped her and she fell down. It was really funny if you were there and we all laughed afterwards. Later Jennifer came out and she snapped a few shots of us swinging. We went out by the river and sat out on the pier. It was very peaceful. I can honestly say that I have got so much to look forward to.
The whole experience is one that I will never forget! I love building memories with my girls! I just wish Jonathan could have gone with us. Maybe next trip.
We went in to the city for the Savannah Memorial Day Festival on the River Saturday afternoon and evening. We ran by Paula's place but the sign out front said " All booked for supper". Now that sounds just like something she would say. We enjoyed going in lots of shops by the river. One of the shops had some really neat sparkly mask that we all enjoyed trying on. I think we have more pictures to post between all of our three cameras so stayed tuned. They had a festival with live music so we loved walking around and seeing the beautiful city of Savannah. It was a fun trip.
